Anyways, last week have been busy busy busy. Hehe.. sorry if that is all I have been claiming to be in my posts, but that is indeed a fact!!

Last weekend was a long weekend for us, it was Canada Day. So we had Monday off. And it was a REALLY good long weekend. I haven't relaxed like that for ages!!!

FIRST, we went to the night market on Friday night. I don't know if I've mentioned it, but there are night markets in Vancouver during the summer. They usually draw massive crowds (of young people usually) and you usually have to wait like half an hour for your curry fishballs, or bubbletea, or takoyaki (octupus balls) or whatnot. Ok. Just imagine a typical Malaysian pasar malam but more organized (distinct sections for food and things) and minus all the yummy Malaysian pasar malam snacks and add delicacies from HK, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Sg, Phillipines, Vietnam, Mediterranean, ok basically anywhere u can think of.

I usually enjoy going to night markets for the ambience and the food. I think I went like 4 times last summer (they only open on the weekends btw) and I visited it again for the first time this summer on Friday. Too bad we didn't take pictures but there will always be another time.

Then on Saturday we (Jnet, suann and I) went to the beach. English Bay rocks!!! We pledged to wear skirts and look all summer-ish (Su Ann looked like a walking Barbie ad with her pink-from-head-to-toe outfit). haha. And then Ehong called me, and he was also in Downtown. So we decided to go to the beach together.

It was a super super sizzling hot day! Seriously. The sun was burning on our skins and we had to make a stop at the bubbletea place to order COLD COLD ICED bbt. hahaa. But it was all good. It was a nice walk to the beach, passing the stores, passing summery-looking people, passing summery-looking stores. IT WAS AWESOME!!! sighhhhh.... makes me love Vancouver so much.

I really love Vancouver. I can never imagine how I hated being here in my first year, how I cried longing for home, how I missed being in Malaysia. I mean, I still miss being in Malaysia, I still miss the good times I had in MC in college on vacations at home, I still miss being with my family and friends, I still miss eating durians, I still miss miss miss...

But yet, at the same time, that intense longing for home is gradually being replaced by an intense love for this beautiful place. How can anyone not fall in love with Vancouver?

Ok just had lunch. Mmm.. went for Korean food with my aunt last night. Just had leftover Japchae, topped with this spicy porkbelly and squid. SOOOO good.. slurp slurp!!!!!

Where was I?

Oyea, so we went to the beach and then we went for Su ann's housewarming in UBC at night. She jst moved into her new apartment. It was a fun night. I can't really remember since that was a week ago haha, but I remembered that there were some heated discussions on everything and anything. lol.

Then Sunday, went out with my uncle and cousins. Then on Monday we went to sing k...

Then busy week again.

Then last night we went for dessert. Mmmmmm... the last time we went there was in March. And I have been craving for its creme brulee ever since. And finaly we went again last night! It's soooo good... and the other desserts as well. I really like the place. Reminds me of the distinct coffeeshops in New York that we went to. It has that 50's style with a cosy feel to it. Really really warm ambience. And yeah, we sipped tea and ate dessert and chatted. It was good.

What else? I'm too lazy to update anymore. hahaha. Think I'll take a nap for now. Ugh but I have so much work to do!
