<-- : Let me see... a lot has happened since I last blogged, and here is a lazy list of updates: 1) I dyed my hair DEEP PURPLE... (which turned to a bright red a couple of days later... cis...as you can see, I am still not over the fact that it is no longer PURPLE... someone even commented that it is now BROWN ><) I cant really think of any more updates. lol. I finished an exam today.... and boy, I have never felt so LIBERATED in a loonnggg looonngg time. Honestly, even though sometimes I miss the carefree life of a student (the freedom to skip classes, going to class only a few hours a week, less responsibilities etc), I am real happy that I am no longer a student. Being a student and having to sit for exams literally robs you of any leisure time you deserve to have. Imagine feeling guilty merely watching your favourite show on TV (and everything else after that lol). Imagine not being able to enjoy hanging out with your buddies with the thought of studying for your exams nagging at the back of your head. Imagine struggling to keep your friggin eyes open to study the next 20 chapters of the text because you know that you'll regret it if you don't. Imagine sitting for an exam and kicking yourself in the head when you come across a question that you vaguely remember studying about but don't recall what you studied. (Now post-exam...) Imagine getting a less than satisfactory grade on an exam and thinking to yourself that if you'd put more effort into it, you would've done much better. Everyone's been through that. Everyone's been a student once. And only people who genuinely don't give a hoo-ha about their grades or the people who care about their grades will scorn at this. And after retiring from the studying scene for the past year and now re-enduring this familiar yet somewhat distant feeling, I can honestly say, once again, how LIBERATED I feel upon the completion of a course. All of a sudden, TV seems like the best invention ever. MSN isn't so boring anymore. I miss the friends that I see every week at the same time, same place doing the same things. lol. Ahhhhhh.... the scent of freedom. I am happy to be reminded, once again, the simplicity of feeling content with what you have. The way circumstances change how you perceive everything around you - be it something as ordinary as a hole in the wall, or something significant such as life itself. Now, on a more bimbotic mode, I was playing online mahjong at www.viwawa.com and I won with 13yiu Zhi Moh!!! It was, sad to say, my first and only win of the night. >< Oh well, practice makes perfect! Ho ho ho... who want's to MJ with me? *wink* New Blog! - Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 Mon Bella - Tuesday, August 18, 2009 18 more days.. and counting.. - Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 - - Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 Random entry.... - Thursday, Aug. 06, 2009 |
