<-- : Last night I went out for a rendezvous with three guy friends of mine at my FAVOURITE dessert place of all time, Sweet Revenge. Before I move on to tell you about my night, I just have to say that Sweet Revenge has the best desserts ever. My favourite item on the menu is the Blueberry Cappuccino Creme Brulee. (Yes, I order the creme brulee everytime I go there.) It tastes absolutely divine when paired with Elysium or Essentia. Yum yum. One day I will write a full entry about this unique and dainty little dessert place with photos for all of you to feast your eyes on. Anyway, back to my story. So, last night I went out with three of my guy friends. Now, I have on many occasions hung out with a bunch of guys and the night's topics have always revolved around sports, porn, and girls with gigantic boobs. However, last night, we actually talked about relationships, a topic that women endlessly bring up for discussion over lunch. (Trust me, it wasn't me who initiated the topic lol.) It was interesting to hear the three guys brooding over why girls act the way they do in a relationship. "Why are you girls so sensitive? You can think for days about some insignificant thing I said that didn't even mean anything." "What's wrong with girls? Why are you all so complicated?" "For guys, it's so simple. Just feed us, f*** us, and shut the #$@! up!" "And dress up." "Yeah, dress up too." "I always scold my girlfriend when she dresses like an aunty." "I hate it when my girlfriend becomes my mother........... nag nag nag" "I don't understand why girls get so upset when we two-time them. It's not like we don't love them." (!!!!!!!) "Let me ask you, why are girls so afraid of losing their boyfriends?" "Girls like their boyfriends to care for them, right? But why do you hate it if we care for another girl too? It's not like we care less for you.." "What if it is just sex with the other girl? And it didn't mean anything?" "I just don't understand girls!!!!!" "Girls are so mah fan (annoying)." Seriously. This is the talk of immature young men who has yet to learn the true meaning of love. What do I know about love? Absolutely nothing. But I remember my dad telling me once about love. Love is when you sacrifice yourself for the happiness of your loved ones. Unconditional love. Men just can't seem to grasp the notion that cheating is wrong. I've heard of so many encounters with cheating men from friends, family, and random people. Of course, women cheat too. But somehow, men seem to be cheating on a larger scale. And even the people that you would never once think they would cheat on their wives.... cheat. It could be a one-time thing. But ultimately, he still cheated. However, according to my friend, when a man cheats, the fault is at both the man and woman. He feels that men cheat when a relationship isn't working out the way it should, such as a lack of communication between the couple, difference in values and wants, etc. Likewise, women cheat for the same reasons. Anyway, I told the guys that, first, not all girls are controlling bitches that don't want you to have fun with your buddies. Second, because girls love their boyfriends so much, it is an innate reaction to immediately feel threatened by some hot chick that you are checking out (or is extremely close to and apparently, cares for a lot. *rolls eyes*) Also, just because your girlfriend is a control freak DOES NOT give you the right to two-time her!! Gawd!! And... yes, girls are sensitive. Yes, girls do think about every single thing you say, so quit saying random things! And yes, girls like to nag, but it's only because they are concerned for you when all you want to do is play video games. SO! The conclusion is... guys are as confused about girls as girls are about guys. What goes through that thick skull of theirs is beyond me. And after last night, I can't say that the three guys left Sweet Revenge feeling any more enlightened than before. lol.
